Make Up Classes / Missed Classes / Canceled Classes
In the unlikely event a class is cancelled by the center for non weather related reasons, JAMZ will prorate a refund for that class. JAMZ will not schedule makeup classes during the session. If a student misses a class due to an illness or other personal reason, the student may ask the director if he/she may attend another class of the same or a different style. The director has sole discretion in this matter and her decision is final, and is under no obligation to allow a student to make up a missed class.

Jamz Dance Center DOES NOT follow Anne Arundel County School system closures. Please call the studio or check the website for more information regarding class cancelations during inclement weather.

Prorating & “No Obligation” Trial Class(es)
JAMZ will not prorate tuition for classes unless the studio itself cancels a class. Should you enroll in week 2 of 8, you will still be responsible for the full cost of the 8 week term.

While any student may try a class with “no obligation,” the student is responsible for paying for that class should they choose to enroll with JAMZ. Our “No Obligation” policy only applies to students who try a class and then do not wish to enroll (for any reason), and therefore are not financially liable for the class. If you were to try a class on week 1, and decide to enroll for the remainder of the term, you will still be charged $60.00 for the entire 8 weeks.

Class Withdrawal & Refunds
After classes start, NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE! Withdrawals must be made in writing on the form provided by Jamz Dance Center.

Dress Code:
Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes (for hip hop, no dark soled shoes that will markup the hardwood floors. Street/Tennis shoes recommended. NO JAZZ Shoes. Attire is whatever you are comfortable in, i.e. baggy sweats, tshirt, etc).

Attendance and Lateness:
Lacking proper warm-up time, late students may be asked to observe their class rather than risk injury. Repeated lateness may result in termination of lessons (with no refund) or class transfer.

Care of Students:
The school cannot provide before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 6 are asked to remain in the school during the classes. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before or after lessons. Please provide a cell phone number in case of emergencies.

Photo Release:
The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.

Waiver and Release of All Claims
The undersigned, in her/his capacity, as well as on behalf of the Student, both of his /her Parents and Guardians, recognizing the risks of illness and injury inherent in any dance program (1) acknowledges and agrees that the Student is participating upon the express agreement that illness and/or injury may occur; and (2) agrees to herby release, indemnify and forever discharge Jamz Dance Center, its employees, agents, directors, officers, stockholders, sponsors, and volunteers, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, administrators, predecessors, and assigns (“indemnities”) from and all action, cause or causes of action in law or in equity, suits debts, contracts, agreements, promises, liability claims, demands, damages, loss, cost or expenses of any nature whatsoever, known or unknown, which the undersigned, in her/his capacity, as well as on behalf of the Student both of his/her Parents, and Guardians has had, could have, or may have, own or hold against any of the Indemnities by reason of the Student’s participation in the Dance Session or any other Jamz Dance Center program or event, except for illness or injury resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of any of the indemnities. I hereby agree to execute and deliver this Waiver and Release to induce Jamz Dance Center to permit the Student to participate in the Dance Session and other Jamz Dance Center programs and events. I herby grant Jamz Dance Center and its authorized designee’s permission to administer first aid and/ or call 911 in case of a medical emergency affecting the student. I acknowledge and understand that Jamz Dance Center will attempt to first notify parents and guardians in case of an emergency.
